FAQ
Is the E16 legal for tournament play?
Yes, under UPA-A rules. The E16 is UPA-A certified, so you can play it at PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball events and at any tournament that follows UPA-A paddle rules. It isn't USA Pickleball (USAP) approved. If your events require USAP approval, the 14mm E14 carries both.
Should I choose the 16mm E16 or the 14mm E14?
Choose the E16 if you want more natural power and a plush, stable feel. That power means resets take soft hands. The E14 has the same elongated shape, face and foam core in a 14mm thickness: it feels crisper and more direct, swings a little faster and gives a bit more control.
Who is the E16 built for?
Advanced to professional players with an aggressive, power-first game, especially competitive doubles players who want maximum reach with a plush, stable feel.
How heavy is the E16?
It weighs 8.0 oz with a 114 swing weight, on a 5.5 inch handle with a 4 1/4 inch grip. If you like more weight, lead or tungsten tape on the edge guard is fine and doesn't affect your 30-day trial.
How does the elongated shape compare with the hybrid and widebody?
All three EZ Speed shapes share the same foam core, face and edge system; only the geometry changes. The elongated E16 (16.5" x 7.5") gives you the most reach at the kitchen and on overheads. The hybrid shape trades a little reach for faster hands and more stability, and the widebody shape has the widest face, the fastest hands and the most forgiving sweet spot.
What if the E16 isn't right for my game?
Every paddle bought on elevenzerosports.com comes with a 30-day risk-free trial. Play it, change the grip, add lead or tungsten tape. If the E16 isn't the right paddle for your game, exchange it for another model or return it for a full refund, and we cover return shipping on US orders. Email shop@elevenzerosports.com to start, and refunds are processed within 5 business days of the paddle reaching us. Paddles with an altered face, core or frame don't qualify, and neither do purchases from Amazon or other retailers. Every Eleven Zero paddle also carries a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
What does a triple-density foam core do?
The E16 uses three foams: a floating EPP foam center for a dense, direct response, a soft EVA layer around it, and hard edge foam at the perimeter so shots caught wide still come back on line. The 16mm build feels plush and stable and gives you more natural power.
